Don Jeter Elementary
Don Jeter Elementary is Alvin ISD’s newest school, which officially opened March 4, 2002. With the capacity to educate 800 Pre-K through 6th grade students, Jeter Elementary’s "state of the art" campus serves the rapidly developing northwest sector of the Alvin school district.
The Texas Education Agency gave Jeter Elementary an “Exemplary” rating based on its TAAS test scores. “Exemplary” is the highest rating the Texas Education Agency can give a school. Class sizes at Don Jeter are approximately 17 children per class, compared to the state average of 20. Smaller class sizes mean more attention is given to each child, and that means your child ultimately gets a better education.
